Latin Sounds would have opened its 15th season this year. While the concert series is currently on hold, you can join us for a virtual music experience hosted by LACMA's Mitch Glickman, featuring performers planned for the 2020 season. The events will include interviews with the musicians, live performances, and video clips from the groups. Tune in with your family and enjoy the experience while you dance and picnic from home. Attendees will be prompted to share their screens at times during the event. Attendees are welcome to participate or just enjoy the event anonymously.
This week Mitch Glickman will be joined by renowned Brazilian vocalist and guitarist Téka.

From smooth Bossa Nova, Brazilian Jazz to lively sambas, Téka is an artist with roots firmly planted in the traditions of Brazilian music. She performs with authenticity, energy, and charm. The Brazilian native has performed and recorded with Brazilian legends Hermeto Pascoal, Gilberto Gil, Flora Purim, and Airto Moreira. She has been featured as a soloist with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra, San Luis Obispo Symphony Orchestra, and Glendale Pops Orchestra, and performs regularly across the country at some of the top jazz clubs and venues.
